About CycloneState.com

CycloneState.com is an independent hobby project: two original, free browser games built around Iowa State, Iowa and their sports rivalry. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by either university. Team names identify the sides in a fictional arcade matchup.

What you can play

Iowa v Iowa State: The Bowl Game is a play-calling game. You choose the calls for whichever team has possession, so you control both sides rather than facing a hidden computer coach. The results come from the game’s probability model, not a prediction of a real fixture.

Free Throw Challenge is a sixty-second timing game with a moving hoop. Choosing a team changes its colors, not your chances. Both games run without an account or download; leaving a game discards its score.

How the guides are maintained

The football manual documents this game’s play calls and scoring. The basketball manual includes shot-timing results derived by replaying the shooting model. These are explanations of these games, not real-world team statistics or betting advice.

The rules shown inside each game and on its standalone manual page use the same content. The strategy guide explains the decisions behind those rules. When the game model changes, the guides and any measured results need to be checked against it.
